Multilingual help desk

BoldDesk now supports multiple languages. Currently, it supports the following languages:

  • English

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Portuguese

  • Spanish

  • Czech

We will be adding support for more languages in the future.

To set up multilingual support, you will need to add a new language in the Language settings page in the Admin module. Once you have added a new language, you can translate the text.

Multilingual support can be set up for the following features:

  • Customer portal

  • Agent portal

  • Fields and forms

  • Email notification templates

  • Dynamic content translation

Customer portal

The customer portal supports localization, which means that it can be translated into multiple languages. Users can set their preferred language in their profile when the Multilanguage feature is enabled.

Agent portal

Most of the areas of the agent portal also support localization. Agents can change their preferred language settings in their profile.

Fields and forms

Fields and forms can be localized to support different languages. This includes system fields, custom field names, status values, and dropdown option values.

Email notification templates

Email notification templates can be translated into different languages. You can create personalized templates for each language, or use the default template in the primary language if no personalized template is available.

Translating dynamic contents

Localization support is also available for dynamic content, such as:

  • Dynamic texts used in customer portals

  • Embeddable widgets and forms

  • Satisfaction survey ratings

  • Announcement banner content
